Women in the Wind

Women in the Wind is a group sailing program for women—designed to provide a supportive, confidence-building environment for learning more sailing skills. This program welcomes women and non-binary individuals of all experience levels, from complete beginners to those looking to refresh or strengthen their skills.

Each class focuses on a specific sailing topic or skill. With a rotating curriculum, participants are encouraged to return as often as they like, building knowledge and confidence over time while learning at their own pace.

Instruction blends shoreside learning with hands-on time on the water, allowing New Haven Harbor to become an engaging classroom where skills come to life. Whether you’re a beginner to sailing or looking for a welcoming space to improve your sailing abilities, Women in the Wind offers an empowering pathway into the sport—and a community to grow with.

Sail Haven Members can sign up to Women in the Wind in sets of 3 classes for $90. Each session is capped at 8 participants. Register Here.

*Please note that a Sail Haven membership is required for sailing lessons.
