Adventure Sailing Day

Sail Haven's “Adventure Sailing Day” is the perfect way for members to boost their sailing skills while enjoying some some sailing and socialization. Hopefully we will expose your sailing to some new skills, but most important, this is another adventure in New Haven Harbor.

Saturday, July 18th 1:30pm to 3:30pm. 

No RSVP required - just show up. 

Our Adventure will be to sail to the Sand Spit (aka Sandy Point, Shag Bank) pick up a mooring (set by Sail Haven) get out and explore the Sand Spit. 

We will be using any boat in our fleet you would like to sail.

• Dress to get wet (bring a change of clothes). Bathing suits and or nylon clothing are a good idea.
• Wear proper foot gear for the beach - sailing boots, surf shoes, old sneakers, tevas..... No Flip flops, No slides, NO BARE FEET! There can be sharp object in the sand at the spit. Some natural, like Oysters, and some man made like glass, metal... We will not allow folks to leave their vessels with out the proper foot gear. Foot gear must be positively strapped to you feet. Crocs are OK if they have the heel straps.
